Positive LifeForce is offering a 5 week Tots Summer Camp from 6/27 – 8/1 (no class 7/4) for walkers to age 3! During the session, we’ll dance, sing, play instruments, play games, do crafts and learn some kids yoga!

We’re looking at two times, 10:45 am and/or 4:45 pm. Cost would be $60, (drop-ins welcome pending space), and $45 for a second child. Please email Kelsey@PositiveLifeForce.com if you’re interested and indicate which time works best for you.

Positive LifeForce will be hosting local vendors at their 1st Annual Craft Fair & Open House in an effort to support small local businesses and raise money and awareness for the Food Bank of the Southern Tier.

There will be vendors selling handmade jewelery, soaps and lotions, hats, headbands, and other small crafts. We will also have vendors with kids books, LulaRoe clothing, Mary Kay gift sets, plus specials on Positive LifeForce classes and training. Light refreshments will be served, along with many raffles from the vendors and community to raise money for the Food Bank of the Southern Tier. Come out, relax, pick up some holiday gifts while supporting local businesses, and help us raise money for a great cause! We believe this holiday season we are all so blessed. Please help us pass along those blessings and make sure everyone is fed this hoiday season.

BridgeRunLogoThis is our 7th year of Bridge Run Training at PLF and the program gets better each year!

Half Marathon Training – Wednesday nights at 6:45pm starting March 1st!  We recommend that you be able to run at least 3 miles by the start of our training. We meet at Court Jester’s indoor track for the first 4-5 sessions due to weather restrictions and daylight. The following weeks will meet at Positive LifeForce Studios in Endwell. Program Cost – $135 which includes 10 training sessions + 1 month’s membership at Court Jester. Already have a CJ Membership? Just $99 to participate!

5k Training – Wednesday nights at 6:45pm starting March 29th at Positive LifeForce Studios in Endwell. Program Cost – $59 which includes 6 training sessions (all meetings held at PLF)

DETAILS:

Participants receive weekly homework of 2-3 runs in addition to their weekly meeting in addition to a running log and weekly handouts and discussion regarding topics pertinent to runners.

Beginner / 1st Time Racers: Learn the basics of how to train and build yourself up to completing your first or fastest 5k or Half Marathon. Each year we choose one lucky 5K and Half Marathon runner to participate in our training for FREE!     We do this class at Highland Park and meet at the upper parking lot. The kids stay in the strollers and we move all around the park getting a workout, enjoying the fresh air, other moms, and of course our cute helpers that sometime cheer us on! **This is the last week before new classes start, so class will be this Monday @ 4, and Tuesday at 5:15 pm New 8 week session will start on 9/12 and be on Tuesdays, 4:30-5:15 pm, $75 for 8 week session, or $12 Drop-in
    Moms will get a great total body workout in the main part of the studio, while the kids get to play in our big prana room with a few of m favorite personal babysitters (college girls). 6 Week session, starting Sept. 12th, 4:30 - 5:15 pm, $65, or $15 Drop-in
    We do this class in our big prana room, and depending on the kids ages we do some of our exercises with them, they play with each other or a little bit of both. The best part is we are all moms and get that kids don't always do what we'd like them to. We roll with it and get a workout in, while getting to have our little ones there with us. Plus, how great is it for our kids to see us being healthy, working out and establishing that habit in front of them! Tuesdays, 11:30 am -12:15 pm I could do a class on Fridays at 11:45 am, if there's interest 4 classes for $40, or $12 Drop-in

Hi Everyone –

My name is Jennifer Barnes and I am 42 years old and a mother to Owen who is 14 and Marannda who is 12. I live in Sidney and work full time. In 2014 I was hospitalized for high blood pressure. I was in the hospital for a week trying to get it stabilized and having lots of tests run. Basically I was told I needed to start living a healthier lifestyle, lose weight and exercise. It took me six months to make the commitment to myself and start to lead a healthier lifestyle and start on a weight loss program. By fall of 2015 I lost over 100 pounds and then I began walking and running. In the beginning I was only able to run 30 seconds and I thought there is no way I can do this but I kept pushing myself and I was able to complete a few 5ks and even an 8 K. I saw the ad for the half marathon and I thought can I do this? I decided to give it a try and was so excited to be chosen the sponsored runner for the half marathon. Thanks for joining me on my journey and I can not wait to see you at the finish line.

Fitness has always been paramount in my life, and I work hard to maintain an active lifestyle. Writing, singing, and drawing are a few of my favorite hobbies. Running has become a bit of a wonderful stress- relieving addiction, and I only plan on improving!

Hello Everyone!

My name is Charissa Zaino. I can not express enough how honored and excited I am to have been chosen as one of the sponsored runners for the Dick’s Marathon Relay!
I am 27 years old, I was born and raised by a wonderful family in the small town of Cottonwood, Arizona. I Now live in Newark Valley, NY with my loving husband and our three Fur babies! When I began my running / weight loss journey in January of 2015 , I had no clue what a challenge it was going to be. When I first began running, I started with running / walking . As I built up my strength and endurance with that , I then entered my very first 5k ( The Color Run ) I must say it was a great experience for my first 5k. Throughout the year of 2015 I entered a few more 5k races, but now these were timed! I ended last year strong!. This year I began with timed 5k races again, but this year I’m struggling, especially with my breathing. I’m doing that ” panic breathing ” deal! I hope to be able to turn this year around as I will be running my very first Half Marathon and participating in this exciting Dick’s Marathon Relay!! oh how I LOVE running!! Not only has running helped me a tremendous amount in my weight loss, but it has showed me I am capable of so much more than I ever allowed myself to see!.  I’m looking forward to working with some great trainers and meeting some great people.

This total body workout utilizes everything from Kettlebells, TRX, Mat Exercises, and Ropes to build stamina and strength. The PLF Trainer will teach you each of the stations then monitor and modify the exercises to fit your ability level as you progress through the various exercises. The best part – arrive and begin anytime between the start of class and the posted “last start time!” 9:05, 9:27, 9:40 – whatever works for your schedule! You’ll simply join the rotation with others on the circuit and follow the timer for when to move to the next station.

Our Positive LifeForce Team is participating in the Wendy’s Walk for Kids this year on Aug. 30th. With the arrival of Baby S in August, we thought we’d have some fun with our fundraising efforts and do a Baby Pool. You can join us in the fun and make your predictions online. We are asking for a minimum $5 donation for each guess which can be done directly on our Wendy’s Walk for Kids site, or mailed/dropped off at the studio. We have a beautiful PLF Gift Basket for the winner, valued at over $150! Let’s have some fun guessing when Baby S will get here and what she’ll look like all while raising money for a good cause!
